Hello People,
Thank you for all your emails extending your support and encouragement,it has certainly been a tough week for us with the rains and time constraints. We have finally managed to zero in on one orphanage its called ” SAMARDANA SHELTER HOME FOR STREET CHILDREN” it’s run by a convent and they have about 50 girls and 50 boys at two different places, these children are mainly children of Rag pickers and sex workers. We plan on doing just location this time because of budget and time constraint,in case we have anything extra we will plan a visit later in the month of December. Will keep you all updated.
They are in need of Blankets,Rice,Cooking oil, toiletries like soap, toothpaste etc, so if anyone would like to contribute to any of this can contact us before the end of this month. Also you can continue to send in your donations, toys etc.

First apologies for not updating our blog with what we have been doing, with the limited time that we have in hand because and our daily work schedules we have finally managed to confirm on one of the places that we plan to share our Christmas with,This place is called “Anbagam Home for the Aged in Adyar, Chennai ” they have about 50-60 old people. They are really happy and excited about the fact that we have decided to spend some time with them and the people during the Christmas season.
The response and the funds that have come in have been encouraging and we plan to add an orphanage to our program for December. We request you to continue to contribute (cash/clothes/ideas) and ask others if they are interested in donating $1 or $10 or $1000 – as every dollar makes a different in the lives of people who are less fortunate than us.
We are collecting funds till the end of November. We will let you know the name of the orphanage that we are choosing within the next week..You can send us an email to sharethischristmas@gmail.com about any questions or suggestions that you have.
